What happens when the clients know exactly what they want and you just help them pull it off! It was so much fun to collaborate with these homeowners. All styling credit goes to Danny the homeowner who did a fabulous job and I just helped design the foundation of the greatness that lies beneath. Yay for this young family!
A countertop + custom cabinet showroom is suppose to inspire you to dream up your end result + challenge the expected. This vignette in Rocktops showroom is an ode to wood, mixing vintage train car wood from KC Furnishing Co. + walnut. Unexpected character abounds.
A showroom vignette that highlights a custom quartz + wood backsplash, live edge hood + integrated island banquette with mitered moments that make everyone swoon.
Unexpected layers lead to big rewards of personality when you challenge the norm!
Sunshine, marble, shades of white + a homeowner who loves to cook! This kitchen is all about framing life moments with a effortless freshness that you can’t help but feel.

Wowzahs, what a journey it has been! My life has been full of adventures and I honestly can say I appreciate every moment and bizarre twist and turn! Most people know me from HGTV's show Design Star. Eight thousand people tried out for the show, thirty-eight were flown to Los Angeles for casting, nine people made it to the show and after 5 million viewers, I was lucky enough to win season three. So what happened right? Hahahha I like to just say I have been working on my future People magazine story. Our son, Winston, was born needing a lot of surgeries + I paused to do what everyone would do.....be a mom + take care of our son. However, I'm not done yet.....I have way more to accomplish in the design + tv world. I have just gained an amazing perspective after facing real life drama......now choosing a paint color is very easy.

TESTIMONIALS
Hallmark World Headquarters Color week 2011 Used to inspire artists; Scott Butterfield, Trend Consultant for Hallmark Cards:
“Jennifer Bertrand enchanted our artists, designers and writers with her message. She was engaging, expressive and funny but I think her authenticity is what really held the audience of over 250 people, for over an hour.
Hallmark is all about connecting emotionally; she shared with us her elation, her disappointments, challenges and triumphs. Jennifer was the perfect expert to include in our Color Week presentations, a week of inspiring stories that celebrate style, color and design.
We were treated to Jennifer’s talents as a designer and colorist – obviously an authority – but her flair for creative delivery is what most impressed and delighted us. I can highly recommend Jennifer as a speaker with a captivating story.”
I absolutely adore doing commercial work. On these jobs, we have the chance to set the tone for whatever personality you want to exude. I have been lucky enough to delve into the world of television sets, non-for-profits, restaurants, salons and I dream of one day designing a boutique hotel!
This truly was a house made out of love!!! I feel so lucky to have gotten to be a part of this project that was 15 months in the making and 21,000 sq feet. And it really was a collaboration of the greatest people!
This project included the work of Chris Duh (creative genius extraordinaire), HMN architects and their lovely in-house designer Amy Higgins, Centric Projects, Restoration Emporium, countless others and the amazing dedication and hard work of RMHKC staff like April Hudson and their selfless volunteers.
Thank you to everyone for all that you did to make this house special for those families who have no other choice but to utilize such a needed service.
My mother has a sculpture in the Reagan Presidential Gallery. My father is Director of the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art. Let's just say it was a natural fit that I would be creative. :)
Plus I found that having original art was a luxury that a lot of people skipped out on in their home design. I would like to change that by having varying price points of AMAZiNG works of art.
My artwork is my way of having fun with paint. I paint beautiful layers of colors that would be the perfect "piece de resistance" in any home and I paint a world of the perfect layers of colors, beautiful snobby clothes and exotic locations.
I am obsessed with the world of fashion and my influences vary from Tom Ford to Henri Matisse to Fairfield Porter.
ENJOY!
